Manchester United are believed to be in talks with Andre Carrillo regarding a summer transfer.
Portuguese publication Diario de Noticias claims that the Peruvian winger could join Benfica from Sporting Lisbon before being sold to United.
Jose Mourinho reportedly wants the 24-year-old at Old Trafford and will buy him from Primeira Liga champions Benfica, who have a pre-contract agreement in place.
Carrillo has fallen out of favour at Sporting and will leave Estadio Jose Alvalade in the coming weeks having not featured for the first time since September.
Reports suggest that United are negotiating a deal with Carrillo, who has also been targeted by Liverpool, and could leave Estadio Da Luz without having played a game for Benfica.
However, he may still stay with Benfica if a UK work permit is not granted. Carrillo is one year off obtaining his EU passport.
