Benfica target Arsenal defender Traore

Sky Sports News reports Portuguese giants Benfica have made an approach to sign Arsenal full-back Armand Traore.

The Frenchman has struggled to make an impact at Emirates Stadium since his arrival at the club five years ago and he has featured just 31 times for the first team.

He spent the 2008/09 season on loan at Portsmouth and made only 13 appearances in all competitions upon his return to Arsenal last season.

Benfica are understood to be interested in either a loan or permanent deal and are awaiting a response from Gunners boss Arsene Wenger.

I think it could be a good sign for Benfica. Even if Fabio Coentrão is by far much much better then Traoré, I guess JJ will bring Fabio back to his original position as a left wing replacing Angel Di Maria sold to Real Madrid. Now it's time to find a replacement to Ramires who left to Chelsea.

we dont need to sell again we need to buy
