Benfica striker Rodrigo Moreno feels he benefitted from his loan spell at Bolton Wanderers last season.
Rodrigo failed to grab a regular place for Wanderers during his 10 months in England, but believes his time at the club has been a major factor in his progression.
"I'm at an age of transition," he said, "a period in which the key is to feel you progress from year to year.
"This is my second pro season. Last year, the Bolton experience helped me a lot. It made me grow as a player because the Premier League is very challenging and helped me improve in all aspects of my game.
"At Benfica I am now an important part of the team that aspires to do great things, not only in Portugal but also in Europe. I'm on a high-level club and I am still able to live up to demands."
