Arsenal have stepped up their pursuit of Benfica midfielder Anderson Talisca.
The Daily Star Sunday says Gunners scouts watched the Brazilian forward, 20, score a Champions League winner against Monaco on Tuesday night.
Talisca, who has scored nine times in 10 games this season, was also watched by scouts from Chelsea and Manchester United.
But sources close to the player suggest Arsenal are the front runners to land him and that initial enquiries have already been made.
Benfica only signed him in the summer from Brazilian side Bahia for a knock-down £3.1m but quickly inserted a £35m buy-out clause into his contract.
They now want to reward his goalscoring form with a bumper new deal increasing that figure to almost £50m.
