Benfica midfielder Freddy Adu has begun a trial with Swiss Super League club FC Sion.

The 21-year old American, currently on loan with Greek club Aris Thessaloniki, commenced his trial on Tuesday with the view of going out on loan yet again.

Since joining Benfica in 2007, Adu has been on loan with French club AS Monaco, Benfica's Portuguese rivals Belenenses and now Aris where he has recently fallen out of favour.
