Benfica forward Freddy Adu has joined Greek Super League club Aris Thessaloniki FC.

The 20-year old will undergo his third loan spell since joining the Portuguese club following on stints with French outfit AS Monaco and Benfica's Liga rivals Belenenses.

Adu will team up with fellow American forward Eddie Johnson who is set to join Aris from Fulham on loan until the end of the season but Adu's deal has a buy option and he is expected to remain in Thessaloniki until the end of the 2010/11 season.

Aris are currently fourth on the Greek table and will certainly be buoyed by the addition of two quality forwards.
