Manchester United will have to go to £17 million to sign Benfica defender Ezequiel Garay.

Marca says United are keen on the Argentine, but been warned they'll have to meet his buyout clause to sign him this summer.

Benfica would be prepared to sell for cheaper, but with 50 per cent of their sell-on fee going to Garay's former club Real Madrid, they're referring United intermediaries to the player's buyout clause.
