Benfica have stalled Lazar Markovic's move to Liverpool.
The Daily Express says the Serbian midfielder was expected in Liverpool yesterday to undergo a medical.
But it seems that red tape may have prevented that taking place.
Reports in Portugal suggest that Markovic has not yet been given the green light to travel to England.
The hitch is not expected to ultimately prevent the deal going through and the 20-year-old has already been given permission not to continue pre-season training with Benfica.
