Benfica have outbid Real Betis for Barcelona midfielder Rafinha.
Barca are willing to sell the Brazil international for €30m this week and have been in talks with Betis this past month.
However, Sport says Benfica have now come forward with a superior offer ahead of Friday's transfer deadline.
Rafinha's father and agent, Mazinho, confirmed over the weekend that talks were continuing with Betis, "though there are other options".
Barca coach Ernesto Valverde is willing to sell, even if no replacement is found for Rafinha this week.
