Benfica are in talks with Palermo for striker Abel Hernandez.
The Uruguay international's agent has confirmed developments.
"Benfica have not yet put in a formal offer for Hernandez, but it is true there has been contact with Palermo and the negotiations are continuing," Pablo Betancourt told Sky Sport Italia.p> "They also spoke to the player. Maxi Pereira called him to describe Benfica and what awaits him.
"I did not call him, as Hernandez does not need to be convinced in order to join a great club like Benfica. It would be an excellent choice for him."
