Benfica are pushing to trump Real Sociedad for Arsenal striker Joel Campbell this week.

O Jogo says Benfica have sounded out Arsenal about taking the Costa Rica international on-loan for the remainder of the season. However, it's claimed Gunners boss Arsene Wenger is insisting on a straight sale for €10 million.

Benfica, though, would prefer a loan deal - as would Real Sociedad.

Campbell, 22, joined Arsenal in 2011 and spent three years away on-loan with FC Lorient, Real Betis and Olympiakos.
