Benfica have made an offer to off contract Liverpool goalkeeper Jerzy Dudek.

The Poland star's Anfield contract expires at the end of the month and he will quit to find first-team football.

Dudek was Liverpool's Champions League final hero in 2005 after his penalty saves against AC Milan, but lost his place to Pepe Reina immediately afterwards.

Now the Portuguese giants want to hand Dudek, 34, a return to Champions League action next season.
