Benfica defender Sidnei believes Liverpool can win the Europa League.

Benfica were dumped out of the competition by Liverpool on Thursday.

"It was a very even match," Sidnei said. "It was a well-contested match, in which they made best use of the chances they had. We searched, we played the way we always play, with a lot of ball possession. We also managed to create some dangerous chances, but we weren't able to finish them.

"Liverpool really have a great team and have everything they need to go on and reach the final. I wouldn't be surprised if they manage to win the Europa League this season."
