Benfica chief Rui Costa has rejected talk of making a move to Fiorentina.

The former Viola star has been linked with the sports director's post as Pantaleo Corvino prepares to leave.

"I continue to passionately follow the Italian championship, especially Fiorentina and Milan - two teams in my heart," stated the 40-year-old.

"However, at this moment in time, a return to Italy is practically impossible for me. It's my intention to stay at Benfica."
