Former Barcelona presidential candidate Agusti Benedito has again cast doubt over Lionel Messi's new contract agreement.
Benedito doesn't believe president Josep Maria Bartomeu's claims that everything is sewn up.
He told Goal: "Bartomeu said the contract was signed and he just missed the photo, but this is not true.
"Without the signature of Messi, this contract has no value. Even if his father signed, it requires the signature of the player. It is possible that the presence of Bartomeu is the main obstacle to this extension.
"I hope the president has said the truth, because it is not the first time he lies."
