Nicklas Bendtner is ready to put pen to paper on a new Arsenal contract.

The Daily Mail says the 21-year-old is on the verge of putting pen to paper on a new Gunners contract.

Meanwhile, Bendtner faces a £10,000 bill from Arsenal after offering to reimburse fans who have bought replica shirts bearing his old squad number following his late decision to switch.

Many Gunners fans have the Denmark international's name with the number 26 emblazoned on the back of their shirts ahead of the new season.

But Bendtner wants the number 52 on the back of his shirt - leaving fans with the original number with out of date shirts.
