Benayoun to watch Israel game with Liverpool pals

Yossi Benayoun hopes to have some of his Liverpool teammates at his house to see Israel beat Russia on Saturday.

The injured Israel skipper, 27, is praying his countrymen do the business and keep the Three Lions' finals hopes alive by beating Russia.

And Kop star Benayoun, who has a groin injury, said: "I'm sick I can't play.

"Stevie G and Crouchy have been driving me nuts for weeks about it. And I promised I'd sort it for them.

"However, I'm not sure if Steve will make it as he is busy with a meaningless match the night before!"
