Yossi Benayoun says the Liverpool dressing room are delighted to see Robbie Keane now scoring in the Premiership.
"It was important for him to score because it is important for every striker to get goals," the Israeli winger told liverpoolfc.tv after Keane's brace against West Brom.
"We are all very happy for him because we know that he is a very good player and hopefully after scoring against West Brom he will continue to score.
"People at the club, the staff and the players, never doubted Robbie in any way.
"We knew him before he came here and he is a big player who has scored goals throughout his career."
Benayoun added: "Maybe he just needed a bit of confidence and to get used to the players around him so he could get his first league goals.
"But I am sure he will get even more now and will get even better. Even when he wasn't scoring he was still playing well for the team.
"All that was missing were the goals but now he has got a couple under his belt I am sure it will give him a major boost."
