Liverpool playmaker Yossi Benayoun has no regrets over playing for Israel despite the fact he went off injured, reports Setanta. Benayoun had not been available to The Reds for two weeks prior to the weekend due to a hamstring problem, yet against the club's wishes played for Israel against Greece.

"I'm one million percent certain I should have played," Benayoun said after the game.

"With the way the match developed I was happy to settle for a draw. We didn't look very good in the first half, but we fought back. If we would have started the match the way we ended it we would have won."
