Ben Davies determined to win over Spurs boss Pochettino

Tottenham defender Ben Davies is determined to earn a place in Mauricio Pochettino's plans.

The Spurs left-back has been second choice to Danny Rose and was also left on the bench for Wales' Euro 2016 qualifying win against Cyprus last week.

Davies does not like being left out for either club or country, but is doing everything he can to remain a key part of the set-up at White Hart Lane.

The 21-year-old said: "I can see this as a challenge and a step to overcome, or throw my toys out of the pram and sulk around the place.

"But there's no point in doing any of that. I'm going to get my head down, work as hard as I can and the chances will come.

"I just have to be patient and when they do come then take them like I know I can do."
