Hatem Ben Arfa insists Newcastle United are capable of a top four finish.

Ben Arfa says he can sense the mood of ambition sweeping through the club to make that happen.

He said: "I don't know if it is the best experience of togetherness I have experienced in my career but I can say that all the players feel very good in the dressing room.

"I don't know if we can get into the Champions League. The first target is ­Europe, but then why not the top four? If we can keep ­winning we will see.

"We don't believe it is easy to win games in this league because every game is difficult.

"But if we can carry on with this spirit of ­everybody being together, then why not?"
