Bellamy's Celtic return unlikely

West Ham striker Craig Bellamy has played down a return to Celtic and insists he is happy at his current club.

The Welsh star has been linked with a move to the Scottish Premier League but made it clear that he wants to stay with West Ham, although with the position the club is in currently, can't guarantee anything.

"I'm very happy at West Ham and I'm never going to go in and ask for move. But you don't know what position the club is in," he said.

"You don't know if they are going to accept bids or not accept bids.

"I have been with Celtic and I like Celtic a lot - everybody knows that I had a great time there.

"But when was the last time Celtic paid £7million for a player?

"When was the last time Celtic went to the wages that I am earning at West Ham?

"I know the chief executive Peter Lawwell very well. I've spoken to him and I know that he would like to have me there and I would like to go there one day.

"But if we are all being realistic, and living in the real world, it's never going to happen."
