Former Liverpool forward Craig Bellamy has announced his retirement from football at the age of 34, reports BBC Sport. The well-travelled Cardiff striker says his body "couldn't take it any more". His decision brings to an end a 17-year senior career, which ended with a spell at his home-town club.
Bellamy, who also played for Newcastle, Celtic, Liverpool, West Ham and Manchester City among his nine club sides, won 78 caps for Wales.
