Cardiff City have registered Craig Bellamy enabling him to being his season-long loan with the Championship club.
The Welshman has joined his hometown club from Manchester City in a deal that has attracted plenty of criticism from media outlets but sparked hysteria at Cardiff City Stadium.
Bellamy joined up with the Bluebirds on Tuesday but the deal had not been rubber stamped, mainly due to Cardiff's fiscal situation.
However, Football League chairman Greg Clarke has overseen proceedings and has allowed Bellamy to be registered with the league, making him free to take on Doncaster Rovers on Saturday.
