Belgrano midfielder Franco Vazquez has revealed he's joining Palermo in January.

Vazquez had been in advanced negotiations for a summer transfer, but they could not work out the details before the deadline.

"I will not stay at Belgrano, there is absolutely no chance of that happening," he told newspaper Olè.

"These are my final five games for the club. After Christmas I will fly to Italy and already be at Palermo's disposal from January 3.

"It is an important step for my career and I hope to do well with the Rosanero jersey."
