Belgium boss Wilmots taking nothing for granted ahead of Scotland clash

Belgium manager Marc Wilmots knows to expect a very tough and physical game from Scotland tonight.

The former national team midfielder was a part of the Belgian side which drew 2-2 with the Scots at Hampden in a World Cup qualifier prior to the 2000 tournament so he is well-versed to understand exactly what tonight's opponents are capable of.

Craig Levein's side are in desperate need of a win to keep their 2014 Brazil hopes alive prompting Wilmots to step into the contest with a fair amount of caution.

"British teams are physically strong and that's why I am taking nothing for granted," he said.

"Scotland haven't enjoyed the start they would have wanted, but that means nothing. I am preparing for a difficult match."
