Belenenses are in talks with Manchester United for Joel Pereira.
The Daily Mail says with David de Gea firmly established as United's No 1 goalkeeper and Sergio Romero also well set as second choice, Pereira could be allowed to leave Old Trafford on loan before the window closes.
The 20-year-old spent part of last season on loan at Rochdale and impressed for the League One side - conceding eight goals in as many appearances for the Spotland club.
Primeira Liga club Belenenses have made an inquiry into the youngster's availability as former Real Betis boss Julio Velazquez looks to bolster his squad before the window closes.
With Sam Johnstone also at the club, Manchester United could allow Pereira to leave but it is understood the Red Devils would have to pay part of the youngster's wages.
