Beijing Guoan coach Hong Yuanshuo believes his players did not follow instructions in the closing stages of their loss to Seongnam Ilhwa last night.

The Chinese Super League outfit gave up a one-goal lead to go down 3-1 in Korea and Hong said it was mainly due to the fact that his players maybe went against the fundamentals.

"We struggled in the closing stages but it wasn't especially down to physical problems but more because we allowed ourselves to be put under pressure. The players didn't follow their instructions as well as they might," he said.

"Both teams played well and it was a good game. We have played three games and have three remaining. After losing this game, we will try even harder to win next week at home."
