Behrami hopes Liverpool midfielder Aquilani can join him at Fiorentina

Valon Behrami has urged Fiorentina to sign Liverpool midfielder Alberto Aquilani.

The Florence outfit have been strongly linked with a move for the Italian midfielder, who is under contract with Liverpool until June 2014.

"Aquilani is the right player to bring back the enthusiasm of the Fiorentina fans," said ex-West Ham United Behrami to Corriere dello Sport. "He would be very useful to the team.

"Aquilani has great quality."
