Stoke City goalkeeper Asmir Begovic insists their Europa League tie with Valencia is not over.

He admits Valencia are firmly in the driving seat after winning only their second game in 16 visits to these shores, thanks to Mehmet Topal's superb 36th-minute strike.

But Begovic told The Sentinel: "We try to play well and give them these experiences… and it doesn't get much better than Valencia.

"We just hope we can pull it around. We want to do it for ourselves, for the club and for the fans."
