Begovic fearing Stoke axe for FA Cup quarters

Stoke City goalkeeper Asmir Begovic fears he will be dropped for this weekend's FA Cup quarter-final against Liverpool.

The Potters are away at Anfield on Sunday for a chance to go to Wembley for a second straight season but Bosnian gloveman Begovic, who has started the past three Premier League matches, suggests that Thomas Sorensen could be brought in for the cup tie.

"Of course it would be disappointing if I don't play because you obviously want to win these games," he told The Sentinel.

"The most important thing is to be playing week-in, week-out in the Premier League, but you also want to be playing in other big games for the club. That's normal.

"I'm available for selection and would love to play but I don't know what the manager's plans are. The Liverpool game is a big prize."
