Begovic eager to play part as Chelsea prepare for Man City

Chelsea goalkeeper Asmir Begovic is eager to make a contribution as the Blues prepare for next weekend's clash with title rivals Manchester City.

The Bosnian international is set to start in goal at the Etihad Stadium next Sunday as first-choice goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois serves his suspension, which has since been appealed.

Courtois was sent off by referee Michael Oliver in the 2-2 draw with Swansea City for a foul inside the area on Bafetimbi Gomis which led to the Frenchman's equalising penalty.

"I came here to be part of this team, be successful and contribute," Begovic told the club's official website.

"I want to play as many games as I can, so I look forward to next week."
