David and Victoria Beckham have claimed they are not about to pack up and leave Los Angeles.

Following criticism for a below par performance as a guest judge on American Idol, Victoria was believed to have wanted to return to the UK but those rumours are untrue according to her spokeswoman who said that David was planning to honour his contract with the LA Galaxy.

"David still has two years left on his Galaxy contract and the boys are happy and settled in school in LA," the spokeswoman told MailOnline.

David is currently on loan with Italian club AC Milan but plans to return to the Galaxy after the World Cup which takes place in South Africa in June this year.

The spokeswoman added that Victoria was keen to continue her work in the fashion industry and is happy to raise her family in the US even after the 'Idol embarrassment'.

"Victoria does very little TV, she prefers to concentrate her efforts on her fashion business and family. From time to time, if there is something that appeals to her then she will continue to make the occasional on-screen appearances."
