David Beckham wants his LA Galaxy teammates to continue fighting until the end of the season as they chase a second successive MLS Supporters' Shield.
The Los Angeles club came from behind to defeat Real Salt Lake 2-1 on the weekend to give them the equal-second most points in MLS history (64) with three regular season matches remaining.
Beckham felt it was a difficult encounter with 2009 champions RSL but said it was rewarding to come from a goal down and believes the team needs to keep that mentality heading into the play-offs.
"I think it was always going to be like that. We are two good teams, two good teams that want to win, and two good teams with a lot of history," he said.
"There are some good players on their team. It was always going to be a chippy game. Obviously, coming back from a one goal deficit was a good thing for us.
"We need to continue to fight back when he have a chance.
"They are a tough team, they are well organized, and they have good players throughout their team. It was a difficult game but our character showed and it was an important win."
