David Beckham believes he may be ready for action with the LA Galaxy as early as next month. The 35-year old English midfielder has been sidelined with an achilles injury he sustained on loan with Italian club AC Milan since March but expects to be back in September.

Speaking on the Fox Soccer Channel, Beckham said he had seen a doctor who told him he would be back in October but the ex-Manchester United and Real Madrid responded with, "two or three weeks before that.

"It's just about getting strength back in my calf," he added.
