LA Galaxy’s David Beckham insists he will have some downtime before making a decision on his playing future.
The 36-year old English midfielder is out of contract at the end of the MLS season and there has subsequently been plenty of speculation about where he will go next.
On Sunday, Beckham and the Galaxy meet Houston Dynamo in the 2011 MLS Cup final and the ex-Manchester United and Real Madrid midfielder says a decision will not be made until he has a bit of a rest following that match.
“I’ve always said it’s down to how I feel physically,” Beckham said. “My No. 1 priority always is my family and are they happy.
“We love living here [in LA] and we‘ve loved living here for five years and we continue to love that part of it.
“But it will be down to how I feel physically. I’m 36 years old, but I still love the game like I was 21 years old.”
