Beckham no certainty in England squad - Capello

David Beckham is no certainty to be included in the England squad despite deciding to remain with AC Milan until the end of the season.

England coach Fabio Capello is happy that the midfielder will remain in Europe before his move back to the LA Galaxy but said he will not automatically get a position in the squad.

"I have watched the last few games that David has played for AC Milan and I am very happy with his performances. He's played very well," Capello said in the Sunday Mirror.

"When I look at it, player age does not come into it. I'm looking for the best players. Italy still pick Fabio Cannavaro and he is 35 years old. I'm looking at other things."

Capello said he was also worried about the quality of Major Soccer League in which Beckham will play when he returns to Los Angeles.

"Beckham made a personal decision," added Capello.

"The standard in America is different. In this moment it is important for him to play in Europe -- not only Milan but Europe.

"American football is not at the same level as Italy, Spain, Germany and England, that's for sure."
