LA Galaxy ace David Beckham hopes Premiership fans do not barrack England's World Cup players at grounds this season.
And while the level of vitriol has not reached the burning effigy stage, as was the case with Beckham's homecoming , Manchester United striker Wayne Rooney and company can certainly expect plenty of treatment when they step out at an away ground next season.
"I hope these players aren't vilified because a lot of them will still be playing for England," Beckham told a Yahoo webchat.
"I know the season I came back after 1998, it was tough and you have to mentally block that out."
