Beckham helped Wilshere make Bournemouth decision

Manchester United legend David Beckham had an influence on Jack Wilshere's move to Bournemouth.

The former England captain rang the Arsenal midfielder to offer guidance as he picked his way through alternative offers from Crystal Palace, Roma and AC Milan, says the Daily Mail.

Wilshere listened to the advice of the former Manchester United midfielder, who travelled the world during his glittering career, also playing for Real Madrid, LA Galaxy, AC Milan and Paris Saint-Germain.

In the end, Wilshere's mind was made up for him when Bournemouth offered the best financial package available to Arsenal — agreeing to pay the £3million loan fee and pay his £80,000-per-week wages in full.
