David Beckham lauded Landon Donovan's performance after LA Galaxy's 5-2 home win against DC United. "I thought (his performance) was exceptional. But I've seen that a few times from Landon," said David Beckham "When he plays like that, no one can stop him. He's a goal scorer. He's a great finisher of the ball and we needed that."

LA Galaxy's Peter Vagenas who came on in the second half to score on the other hand nearly left before he got on the pitch.

"I was ready to walk out of the stadium when they scored off the corner kick, to be honest with you." said Vagenas "I think Wicks made the save of the day on Emilio, on his breakaway. Had they gone up 2-0, it would have been extremely difficult to get back into the game."

LA Galaxy's hunt for a play off place is still in the balance with five games remaining and two points off a secured slot.
