David Beckham was over the moon after he helped the LA Galaxy to a 5-3 victory over Portland Timbers.
The veteran English midfielder netted twice in the first half as the Galaxy made it two away wins in a row and he was thrilled to contribute to such an important triumph.
"I thought the team did really well tonight. Even going down 1-0, we were still playing good soccer," he said.
"I think we continued to play our own game and we kept our heads up. Once we got that first goal the confidence came, and we continued to play well."
He added: "I was happy with it (my first goal), but I'm more happy with the team's performance tonight because I think we showed our character. I think we showed that when we pass the ball around we can go through teams."
