LA Galaxy moved seven points clear at the summit of the MLS table on the weekend and David Beckham was satisfied with the performance.
The Galaxy defeated reigning MLS Cup winners Colorado Rapids 1-0 at The Home Depot Center on Friday, thanks to Landon Donovan's 36th minute strike, to move clear of second-placed Seattle Sounders and Beckham highlighted the importance of such a victory following the match.
"It was big game for us tonight. Obviously Colorado wanted to come in here and give us a hard game so I think it was important that we were on top of our game, and most of the game we were," he said.
"I think we got a bit sloppy with our passing, but overall I think it was an important three points."
