A sensational freekick from David Beckham was not enough as AC Milan conceded a late goal in a 1-1 draw with Genoa tonight. Beckham's 32nd minute strike set the San Siro alight as AC Milan dominated the first half against Genoa.

Brazilian ace Pato had several scoring opportunities either side of the break with Genoa looking more dangerous as the match wore on.

Genoa's perserverance paid off with top scorer Diego Milito on the spot to tap in a probing cross with only minutes remaining.

The dropped points leave AC Milan eight points adrift of league leaders Inter Milan.
