LA Galaxy star David Beckham has confirmed he will see out the final year of his MLS contract. The 35-year old Englishman signed a five-year deal when he arrived in the USA in 2007, meaning 2011 will be his final year of the deal.
There was a clause in his contract which would allow the former Manchester United and Real Madrid man to buy out the final year of the deal and leave the Galaxy but he has confirmed he will not do that.
"I'm definitely going to be here for the rest of my contract," Beckham told reporters last week. "My sons go to school here, we're all happy living here, so I can't see us moving."
Beckham will be hoping he can have a major impact in the next few matches as the Galaxy chase this season's MLS Cup to add to their Supporter's Shield.
