Los Angeles Galaxy star David Beckham is confident he can find a place in AC Milan's first team.

Many wonder how he will fit into Leonardo’s new tactical set-up and one possible option is replacing the injured Massimo Oddo at right-back.

"I would be happy to play in any position, in defence, in attack, even in goal!” smiled the England star. "I am not expected to start the games. I just want to be part of the team. My experience with the club was so special for six months. It was one of the best six months of my career.

"I missed the team, the players, the fans. The group is very similar. It is the same at Manchester United, it never changes.”

The Rossoneri are currently in second place in Serie A and Beckham is not shy about his ambitions for this season, even if Carlo Ancelotti, Kaka and Paolo Maldini have left.

"To win a title is my number one wish. To win a title with AC Milan. I don't think the league has lost any charm. Definitely not. This is a great squad that can win the Scudetto.

“I am very honoured to be here again and to know I’ll be here for at least six months, which the first time around wasn’t so sure for many reasons. As for if Milan will be in my future again after that, we’ll see. Milan was always my first choice, even the first time when there was first talk of the Galaxy loaning me out.

“Going to the World Cup is certainly an objective, but I didn’t just come to this club so that I could go to the World Cup.”
