The Daily Mail says Beckham wants Xavi to play for his new Miami-based MLS franchise. However, City are also keen on the midfielder for their New York City FC team.
Early soundings have been made and so far Xavi is receptive to the idea if he feels his body is still fit enough to continue.
Miami is heavily populated by Spanish-speaking residents and Xavi would be a huge commercial draw as Beckham looks to get the city behind his new club.
