David Beckham started on the bench as AC Milan managed a 1-1 draw away to Werder Bremen in UEFA Cup action overnight. Filippo Inzaghi had given the rossoneri the lead before the interval and it looked like Carlo Ancelotti's side would come away with a crucial away win.

However Juventus target Diego levelled for Bremen late in the second half to complete the 1-1 scoreline.

David Beckham entered the action in the 89th minute, replacing Ronaldinho, whilst Pato was rested from the match.
