Beckham: All of AC Milan want Kaka to stay

David Beckham was pleased with his performance in AC Milan's 1-0 victory over Fiorentina. On-loan from LA Galaxy, Beckham was watched by England team manager Franco Baldini last night.

"We won the game, I think that was the most important thing. We can play better, I can play better and we can pass the ball better," he told Sky Italia television.

Baldini was in the stands at San Siro to see Milan defeat Fiorentina 1-0 thanks to an Alexandre Pato strike.

"The important thing was not who was watching, but how we played the game and I'm happy we won."

The 1-0 victory over Fiorentina was overshadowed by the speculation over Kaka's £108m move to Manchester City.

"Of course the players are aware of the situation. It was difficult going into the game with everything that was going on," continued Beckham.

"You saw the passion of the fans and the players fighting for each other. Every club in the world wants Ricardo, not just because he is a great player, but he's also the nicest man you'd ever hope to meet.

"We all want him to stay and I think he will stay, as he loves Milan and he loves living here."
