Beckham admits paying $10M for AC Milan move

LA Galaxy midfielder David Beckham hopes he can return to AC Milan next season. He told the LA Times: "Nothing has been signed yet, and nothing's concrete. But obviously Milan have already showed their interest in me coming back, so that's a good sign."

He also revealed a closer look at the figure he paid out of his own pocket to remain in Serie A beyond the original March loan deadline, as the MLS claims it was around $10m.

"I'm not sure what the actual figure was, but I did contribute quite a huge sum. It was something that I felt I had to do to stay here for the rest of the season, and I accepted it. At the end of the day, it's a hell of a lot of money, but it's something I really needed to do."
