Beckham admits: Enormous gap between AC Milan and Man Utd

AC Milan midfielder David Beckham admits they were out-classed by Manchester United last night.

Beckham's second-half cameo was one of the few highlights for the Rossoneri during the 4-0 thrashing.

"It was a sad night because we have lost and are out of the Champions League," he said. "We conceded early on with the first goal and they took the second at the start the second half, the gap between us and them has been enormous, but Manchester United is a great team.

"Coming back here was special. The fans were incredible and I thank them."

On England teammate Wayne Rooney, Beckham added: "He is an exceptional talent, is one of the best players around, if not the best, the level of Ronaldo and Messi."

the problem is milan's skint owner and players like inzaghi who in the past has actually discouraged new young signings (fears losing his spot maybe?)
